View Full Version : Segmental Sequencing of Kinetic Energy in the Golf Swing

This study of 45 male scratch golfers concluded, "Neither the summation of speed principle nor the principal of optimal coordination of partial momenta can fully explain the pattern of kinetic energy transfer observed in this investigation. It was found that the magnitude of kinetic energy increases proximally to distally, but there is an instant during the downswing when the kinetic energy of the segments in the golfer's body tend to peak simultaneously. This leads to a later peak in kinetic energy of the most distal link, the golf club, at ball impact."

It is interesting how TPI and KVest have not yet changed their tune to reflect most recent findings.

And then have to change all there marketing .....

All they want is to sell sell sell. They have talked a pile of pi** for years now but who cares? The public is, and always will be, the victim of such money making operations. It's just the way it is, and always will be.

Lifter copied and emailed to me this post by Finney before Bman flushed it down the memory hole...

[image: Default] once again....

kelvin and jeffy are late to the party.....again

talked to wright, read anderson's thesis (alot more detailed than the
paper), and corresponded with stefanyshyn.....

you're understanding of the paper's findings doesn't jibe with reality -
once again....

and to use you're favorite tactic - "who cares about 45 scratch golfers,
when robert garrigus is out there winning driving competitions all over the
place?"

hmmmm... Is it a surprise that Mike doesn't explain why the actual text that was copied and pasted here "doesn't jibe with reality"????

Yep...and I just noticed his incorrect use of "you're", twice. And I guess he also doesn't know that the word "alot" doesn't exist...
